CMMS Implementation Support

Yukon, Canada

A major hydro power utility company hired our experts to help them implement a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). The project required development of asset hierarchy, field master data collection and maintenance business process development. 

Our team worked withthe software vendor and the client teams to update the asset hirarchy and completed the master data collection for all generating facilities. The maintenance business process were rolled out to their maintenance team in order to fully utilize the newly implemented CMMS implementation

Integrated Reliability Program (IRP)


The project was initiated because of frequent downtimes and safety incidents at the massive oil sands plant near Fort MacMurray, AB which had a production capacity of more than 350,000 bbl/day and generated the required power at company’s own Energy & Utility Plant. The 1965 built old facility suffered from more than $1 billion dollar of loss. RCM strategy (which included master data, asset criticality, equipment strategy development and spare part optimization) was implemented which eliminated unplanned downtime completely and gave a savings of $400 million per year.

Asset Management Training and Implementation


Our experts in ISO 55000 implementation teamed up with our partners Eruditio to deliver asset management training and business process to a manufacturing facility in the United States. The facility was facing a decline in ability to meet client's requirement and to keep profit margins. The intent ISO 55000 implementation was build processes that break the silos and improve company's performance and bottom line. Our experts were able to build en to end asset management processes and training modules that enabled the client to implement ISO 55000

Maintenance And Reliability Improvement Program

PSRAM Consulting was contacted to support the development and implementation of the maintenance and reliability program for a green field Oil Sands operation in Alberta. This multi-year project included development of maintenance strategies using RCM and FMEA, spares optimization, defect elimination and PM Optimization. Over the course of 3 years, the program has helped improve up time by over 3% and reduce maintenance costs by over $18M annually. 

In addition to the above, our team has completed several RAM study, including a complete base case scenario using the clients work order history.
